JC’s Head coach, Davion Ferguson, while reflecting on the game is focused on ensuring his players are at their best heading into the final against the May Pen based team.
Earlier, both teams had few and far between clear chances in the first half with Hydel Dontae Brooks firing a week left footer straight to JC's goal keeper Adriano Kitson in the 20th minute.
For JC, an unmarked Jamoy Dennis headed the ball over the bar in the 35th minute, after a beautiful delivery from Nashado Gibbs with Hydel's goalkeeper Idrian Robinson advancing.
The decisive blow came in the 45th minute, when Howell with time on his side drilled a rasping right footer past the hapless Robinson in goal.
The second half saw Hydel's push for an elusive equaliser undone by missed chances, the most glaring coming in stoppage time when D'Sean Henry broke into the box, and when persons were looking to see the ball in the back of the net, he crashed the ball wide of Kitson's left post.
On the other hand, a resolute Jamaica College defence kept Hydel at bay, and had their moments of extending their lead, the most notable coming in the 58th minute when Javaun Mills curled his shot wide of the right post after embarking on a solo run.
Hydel’s Head coach Devon Anderson was left to rue his team's missed chances. “It was a game of chances, and JC capitalised on an error from our goalkeeper at the near post. We got a few chances to put the ball in the back of the net and we failed... goals win games, and once you fail to score, you will come out on the losing end, and that is what happened,”.
