Junelle is engaged! Olympic Champ Lyles proposes.

Jamaican athlete Junelle Bromfield is now officially engaged to American World and Olympic Champion Noah Lyles.

Lyles took it to Instagram, making the announcement official that he has proposed to the former Champion Girl at the ISSA Boys and Girls Championships while representing St Elizabeth Technical in 2016.

The two have been together for nearly two years now and, in that time, have seen everything from joyful moments to the best of vacations and, last but not least, the senseless and awful trolling for months.

Ever since Lyles pipped Jamaican Kishane Thompson to win the 100 meters gold at the Paris Olympics, the two have been targets for unfortunate hate from some misguided persons in Junelle’s homeland.

It got to a point where Junelle claimed she couldn’t return home because she was scared not just of her safety but of her life.

Lyles while not having similar circumstance, has had his fair share of hate.

Despite having faced the worst kind of trolling, Lyles has made the unafraid move to propose to the St Elizabeth native.

Lyles was seen in a cozy setup in front of a fluffy pink heart that had the big question, “Will you marry me?” - He went on to write, “To My Future Wife, I Will Love You Forever.”

Bromfield was middle distance star for Steths, and completed one of the most difficult feats at the ISSA-GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Championships when she won gold medals in the Class One girls 400m, 800m, 1500m and 4x400m open relay in 2016.

She has been a part of several Jamaican teams since then. She was part of Jamaica's bronze medal winning 4x400 meters team at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, and silver medal winning team at the Eugene World Championships in 2022.

She was also a semi finalist in the individual 400 meters at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
